DNS Benchmark's purpose is to measure the performance of all DNS resolvers your computer is configured to use. It identifies them for you, it determines their redirect policy and more. The software can make everything significantly easier when it comes to anything related to DNS performance investigation.

The software is offered completely free of charge and you can have it up and running in no time. It comes as a single executable file, which you only need to download and run. There is no need to go through an installation process, so you can launch the software immediately, on any popular Windows platform.

The user interface consists of several tabs, on which you can find an introduction to DNS Benchmark's functionality, a nameservers list, tabular data and analysis conclusions. Once you access the nameservers list, the software will immediately identify all the DNS resolvers your computer is configured to use. When all resolvers are identified, you can add new ones or remove existing ones and start the benchmarking process.

Cached, uncached and DotCom values are color coded in the same nameservers list. Additionally, you can go over to the tabular data and conclusions tab, if you need more information on what those figures mean.

With DNS Benchmark, you will be able to perform rich and accurate DNS benchmarks with a single click.

Pros

The software can identify DNS resolvers automatically. It provides a wide range of useful information. DNS Benchmark is free and you can run it without installing anything.

Cons

There are no obvious issues to mention.
